Antibiotic Free Pork (ABF)
We certify that our Antibiotic Free Pork is never fed or treated with antibiotics, given growth promotants, or fed animal by-products. In addition to affidavits and producer claims, staff visits supplier sites and performs periodic lab testing for any trace or residue of antibiotics.
US Commodity Pork should have no antibiotic residue in any of the muscle fibers or organs at the time the animals are harvested due to the strict withdraw periods by drug. However, the greatest risk for the overuse of antibiotics is for the development of antibiotic resistant bacteria. That is the use of antibiotics has little or no effect on the strain of bacteria. This risk is heightened when antibiotics used in livestock overlap with the same types used for humans. While there are conversations and measures to limit the overlap, for customers who crave greater assurance, producers also source antibiotic free pork programs.
All our antibiotic free pork meets both the USDA's “No Antibiotics” and "Natural" labeling standards. While “No Antibiotics” deals specifically with the use of antibiotics, “Natural” refers to no artificial ingredients or colors and minimal processing.

Discovered over 300 years ago in Berkshire County United Kingdom, Berkshire Pork is renowned for its tender juicy meat and its deep red color. All breeding stock (sires and sows) are registered with the American Berkshire Association to verify the 100% Berkshire lineage. The program is producer owned and managed with knowledgeable staff observing every weekly fabrication.
